Late night sessions at the Albert Hall; a special new series of club shows from The Warehouse Project taking place at The Albert Hall throughout February and March, the latest addition to the Trof family. Steeped in history as a long-forgotten Wesleyan chapel, the Grade II-listed venue has been resurrected by Trof as a respected music venue and club with an unrivalled atmosphere.
One of the most outstanding underground live acts around, Moderat are first up to headline The Albert Hall on 7th February 2014. Having produced separately as Modeselektor and Apparat, the trio of Gernot Bronsert, Sebastian Szary and Sascha Ring joined forces in 2002 as Moderat for their first EP. They have released two full-length albums to date, both through Modeselektor’s Monkeytown Records imprint, most recently August 2013’s Moderat II. Appearing at The Albert Hall, Moderat make one of their first headline shows in the UK since the release of their album and some personal injury set them back.
Manchester’s own Ape steps up on Saturday 1st March and bring an immense meeting of musical minds with Annie Mac, David Rodigan, Redlight, Mele, Dismantle, Wookie, Dj Barely Legal, Rich Reason, Just Skank, Juicy Djs, Chimpo, Will Orchard, and hosted by Chunky & Tonn Piper. Since the last Ape At The Apollo two years ago, the Ape shows have occured only on the annual birthdays at The Warehouse Project. Now with the arrival of The Albert Hall, the right time has presented itself for them to return with full impact.
The Warehouse Project will be programming a select few shows at Manchester’s newest and most exciting venue, The Albert Hall Manchester, injecting them with exceptional performances and some Warehouse magic.
