Fresh from announcing the first names for their second edition, Wigflex City Festival adds Goldie (Techno Set)Tom RavenscroftErika de Casier (Live)DiY Collective, AceMoMa, Konx Om Pax, Alec Falconer, Harry Wills, Rob Amboule and Ella Knight to the ever-growing bill.

Having garnered a reputation for hosting some of the most essential artists and brightest hopes across countless Wigflex parties, an array of diverse new acts continues that trend, joining an already stacked lineup. Dishing up original pioneers by the bucketload, Goldie touches down in Nottingham for a very unique appearance especially for Bank Holiday Friday. At the forefront of the drum and bass, jungle and hardcore scenes, the legendary figure will dig deep for a rare techno set that few dancers have witnessed before. This is destined to be one for the Wigflex history books.

Having championed and unearthed unsigned talent from across the spectrum via his BBC Radio 6 Music show, Tom Ravenscroft showcases his wealth of musical knowledge in an unmissable DJ set, while one of modern R&B’s most exciting voices, Erika de Casier, plays songs from her critically acclaimed debut album, last year’s ‘Essentials’. There’s also eagerly-anticipated slots for garage enthusiast Alec Falconer, unstoppable duo AceMoMa, Harry Wills, Rob Amboule and Ella Knight.

For all its ambitious programming, Wigflex never forgets its roots and who blazed a trail before, with Nottingham’s infamous party crew DiY Collective stepping out for a very rare DJ set. Once dubbed “culturally, the most dangerous people in the UK”, the crew are pivotal to the city’s dance music scene and all that’s happened since their hair-raising antics – locals, newcomers and hardcore fans alike should not miss this opportunity to pay homage.

With an unmissable programme of talks and workshops to be announced soon, tickets for Wigflex City Festival are selling fast: www.residentadvisor.net/events/1351257
