Communications Director
I came onboard as acting Communications Director for the launch of ‘UNION BLACK: Sounds of a Nation’, a new online exhibition from YouTube and Google Arts & Culture. The collection features videos, photographs, documentaries and podcasts that all celebrate the powerful contributions of Black British music artists, creatives, professionals and movements.
This was a great project to work on and as Communications Director I oversaw both internal and external PR teams, led the Comms timeline and drafted, edited and approved all release docs. The project was developed in collaboration with multiple cultural organisations across the UK which required high level project management with approval and sign-off duties.
UNION BLACK demonstrates the significant influence and impact of Black British music in the UK and beyond, and tells the stories of some of the change makers who have helped shape the fabric of British music and culture.
